Fiber Optic Cable coming to Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows

Great news! Suddenlink has obtained the necessary approvals to extend fiber optic cable into the communities of Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. The fiber optic cable will provide them with the ability to finally extend high-speed Internet services, voice and advance video services into these communities. Lake Tahoe Home Prices Jump in First Quarter

Strong Movement in Sales of Million-Dollar Homes The Lake Tahoe real estate market is off to a strong start in 2013, experiencing a 34 percent increase in median home price and a 53 percent leap in average price. Sales volume around the lake is up 61 percent, primarily due to a 133 percent jump in homes sold for more than $1 million. The figures were part of a quarterly report released by Lake Tahoe-based real estate company Chase International. The median price of a home in Lake Tahoe is $415,000.... Read more »

Squaw Valley Real Estate Market Update-1st Quarter Statistics

January 1 through March 31st of 2013 saw some great increases in real estate sales and values for the first quarter compared to 2012. The Squaw Valley real estate condo market in particular saw an incredible boost. Condos saw a 330% increase in volume sold versus the first quarter in 2012. The number of units sold increased by 150%, median price increased by 54%, and the average price increased by 72%.
